1. Who we are

stuhaul ("we", "us", or "our") is a campus-to-campus ride booking platform for Texas college students, operated by Avaksys. Our website is https://stuhaul.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information from third-party sign-in services:

• Account information — name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up via Google or email/password.
• Booking information — origin, destination, travel date, and seat selection when you book a ride.
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full card number or CVV.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and session metadata for performance monitoring.

3. Google user data

When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the following information from your Google account via OAuth 2.0:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your profile photo URL

How we use this data: solely to create and authenticate your stuhaul account. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond account authentication and personalization within the app.

Storage: this data is stored in our Supabase-hosted database on servers located in the United States. We retain it for as long as your account is active or until you request deletion.

Sharing: we do not sell, rent, or share your Google account data with any third parties, except as necessary to operate the service (e.g. authentication infrastructure). We do not use Google user data to serve targeted advertisements.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• To create and manage your account
• To process ride bookings and send confirmation emails
• To facilitate payments through Stripe
• To send service-related notifications (booking updates, receipts)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for targeted advertising or sell it to data brokers.

5. Data sharing and disclosure

We share your data only with:

• Stripe — to process payments securely. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — our database and authentication infrastructure provider.
• Ride providers — your name and booking details are shared with the driver/provider for your confirmed ride.
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@avaksys.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Analytics, if used, are privacy-preserving and do not identify individual users.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure cookie handling, and Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong password and sign out on shared devices.

9. Children's privacy

stuhaul is intended for college students aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at support@avaksys.com and we will delete the account promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Continued use of stuhaul after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
